Hi, I've been watching the progress of Guild Wars for some time now.
As soon as the game was released yesterday, I eagerly searched the site for some sort of demo/trial version of the game. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything to that effect. Is there any way to try before you buy? My past experiences with MMO's have led me to be wary about buying a game where this is not the case.

Taking part in the past BWEs was the best way to preview the game. Now the only way would be to visit a friend who already has the game

the deadline for BWE key access ends at midnight tonight. there is no other demo in the works that i am aware of.

Meaning I still have to buy before I try.

I'm sure there will be a demo sometime, but my guess is it is a year or more away. If you want to play now, buy. Just read more info on the game and you'll learn it is worth the cost.
